<title>Vérification de l'espace disque libre</title>

  <p>You can check how much disk space is left with <app>Disk Usage Analyzer</app>,
  <app>System Monitor</app>, or <app>Usage</app>.</p>

<section id="disk-usage-analyzer">
<title>Vérification avec l'analyseur d'utilisation des disques</title>

  <p>Pour vérifier l'espace libre et la capacité du disque en utilisant l'<app>analyseur d'utilisation des disques</app> :</p>

      <p>Ouvrez <app>Analyseur d'utilisation des disques</app> dans la vue d'ensemble des <gui>Activités</gui>. La fenêtre affiche une liste des emplacements des fichiers avec l'utilisation et la capacité de chacun d'eux.</p>

      <p>Cliquez sur un des éléments de la liste pour afficher les informations détaillées sur son utilisation. Cliquez sur le bouton menu puis sur <gui>Analyser le dossier…</gui> ou sur <gui>Analyser le dossier distant…</gui> pour analyser des emplacements différents.</p>

<title>Vérification avec le moniteur système</title>

  <p>Pour vérifier l'espace libre et la capacité du disque avec le <app>moniteur système</app> :</p>

  <p>ouvrez l'application <app>Moniteur système</app> en utilisant la vue d'ensemble des <gui>Activités</gui>,</p>

  <p>Select the <gui>File Systems</gui> tab to view the system’s partitions and
  disk space usage.  The information is displayed according to <gui>Total</gui>,
  <gui>Free</gui>, <gui>Available</gui> and <gui>Used</gui>.</p>

<title>Check with Usage</title>

  <p>To check the free disk space and disk capacity with <app>Usage</app>:</p>

    <p>Open the <app>Usage</app> application from the <gui>Activities</gui>
    overview.</p>
  </item>
  <item>
    <p>Select <gui>Storage</gui> tab to view the system’s total <gui>Used</gui>
    and <gui>Available</gui> disk space, as well as the used by the
    <gui>Operating System</gui> and common user’s directories.</p>

<note style="tip">
  <p>Disk space can be freed from user’s directories and its subdirectories
  by checking the box next to the directory name.</p>

<title>En cas de disque trop plein</title>

  <p>Si le disque est trop plein, il faut :</p>

 <list>

   <p>Delete files that aren’t important or that you won’t use anymore.</p>
  </item>
  <item>
   <p>Make <link xref="backup-why">backups</link> of the important files that
   you won’t need for a while and delete them from the hard drive.</p>
